Those Who Believe In Baptism Of Desire Are Still Considered Roman Catholics Until The CHURCH Condemns Baptism of Desire

Q. Is Water Baptism necessary for Salvation?

   1. Yes

   2. No

Q. Did Jesus say the following:

Amen, amen I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

1. Yes

2. No

If you answer No to both then you probably believe that WATER baptism is not necessary for Salvation. This means that you believe in the Baptism of Desire.

The Church has not yet condemn Baptism of Desire.

When the Church does condemn Baptism of Desire then you are no longer allowed to hold to Baptism of Desire.

So until the Church condemns Baptism of Desire you are still considered a Roman Catholic if you hold to Baptism of Desire.

  2. oh and if you answer No to the first question and Yes to the second question - then you're a wee bit confused - but still considered a Catholic nonetheless until the church condemns BOD.....well then.....
