Doral resident shouting 'anti-President Trump rhetoric,' shot in police firefight at Trump National Resort

A Doral man, identified as Jonathan Oddi, 42, was shot by police early Friday at Trump National Doral in northwest Miami-Dade after grabbing an American flag, going into the resort’s lobby, firing shots and causing a commotion, police said. “This subject came in removed a flag from a flag pole at the rear of the complex and brought it into the hotel lobby and draped it over the counter and began to yell out anti-President Trump rhetoric,” Miami-Dade Police Director Juan Perez told reporters at a briefing shortly before 9 a.m. The shooting at the resort owned by President Donald Trump — at Northwest 36th Street and 87th Avenue — happened about 1:30 a.m. Source
