Should Good Catholics Read Far-Right Catholic Blogs? by John Paul Shimek 06/30/2016 Last weekend, Ines San Martin of Crux reported that Pope Francis “has vowed in a new interview that he won’t be slowed down by resistance from ‘ultra-conservatives’ in the Church who ‘say no to everything,’ insisting, ‘I’m going ahead without looking over my shoulder.’”
Good Catholics everywhere cheered the words of the Holy Father, the Successor of St. Peter.
You see, they readily understood that a handful of far-right ideologues do not get to determine the course of Christ’s Church. It doesn’t matter if those ideologues represent semi-schismatic enclaves or write popular blogs. Christ the Lord has empowered the Church’s Magisterium in communion with the Successor of St. Peter to lead the People of God. Not them.
Nonetheless, sometimes it can be instructive to read these far-right ideologues. Doing so, reveals some things worth noting about the signs of the times; and, taking stock of those things…

The Ballerina was found dead at Mark Twain Lake about 9 a.m. Wednesday


Her cellphone and personal belongings were still inside her car.
"Her keys were found lying outside the vehicle," Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Eric Brown said. "They appeared to have been intentionally placed in a certain spot on the vehicle." Source

Creve Coeur: Peeping Tom Priest Father John McCusker Caught By Police Outside Female Co-worker’s Home.

Police: Peeping Tom priest found hiding in bushes outside woman’s home RICHMOND HEIGHTS, Missouri - A priest at a St. Louis County Catholic school has been charged with stalking after police say he was found hiding in the bushes outside a female co-worker’s home.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that 36-year-old Michael McCusker was arrested Friday night after a woman reported a man looking through her windows in Richmond Heights. Officers learned that McCusker is a priest and teacher at St. Louis Priory School in Creve Coeur. He goes by his religious name, Father John McCusker.
Besides the second-degree stalking charge, McCusker also was charged Monday with resisting arrest. No attorney is listed for him in online court records.
Abbot Gregory Mohrman, of St. Louis Abbey, said in a letter to the school community that McCusker would be removed from his roles in the school and would no longer live on campus.
